According to Adelabu, President Bola Tinubu’s administration is determined to use power to drive other critical sectors of the economy.
He assured Nigerians that before the end of 2024, there will be a remarkable improvement in power supply in Nigeria.
The minister said: “We have witnessed increased power generation in the last few months. We have hit 5,105 megawatts, which is the highest in the past years, from the average of 4,000 megawatts, which is about a 25 per cent increase that this administration met. This is commendable.
“Again, I can promise Nigerians that we are still scratching the surface; by the time we take the giant steps that are expected of us, you will even see more improvement in power supply under the Tinubu administration, especially about his agenda to use power to drive every other critical sector of the economy.”
Adelabu noted that more improvement will be witnessed next year by consumers. He stressed that the government is doing everything possible to enhance the state of transmission.
He added: “While the distribution companies are also raising their games, in terms of their infrastructures, such as the 33KVA lines and all the duty transformers, we are still scratching the surface….READ FULL ARTICLE
