However, he cautioned that protest movements inherently lack complete control. He noted that despite the organizers’ noble intentions, the dynamic and uncontrollable nature of protests necessitates caution. He supported the military’s stance on the issue whole emphasizing their duty to prevent chaos, especially given the volatile environment with separatist movements like IPOB and terrorist groups like Boko Haram potentially exploiting the situation.

as well and I go to the same market just like every Nigerian. I agree with the demands of the protesters because all of us are feeling the hardship. But protest movements is something you cannot control.

You cannot control all stages of protest. It is just like in the military, no plan survive first contact impact. So no matter the lofty plan the organizers may have for the protest, they cannot control the whole process. So we have to be very careful with protest movement. And that is why the military is right when they said we are in a state of war and they cannot allow things to get out of hand. And don’t forget that we have separatist movement, we have the IPOB and we have the Boko Haram..They could take advantage of the protests.
