Comrade Tiemo who spoke in Warri Delta State asserted that it is the ultimate responsibility of all citizens of Nigeria at home or in diaspora to collectively work together after a broad consultation for the progress and development of our country through the recommendation of creative ideas that can enhance the smooth running of the government.
The Niger Delta Humanitarian Activist remarked that technology to explore or refine our crude oil into different petroleum products for local and foreign consumption is what Nigeria needs, noting that it is not the removal or imposition of the fuel subsidy is not the solution to the problem of scarcity of fuel or high inflation.
According to Comrade Mike J K Tiemo,
because Nigeria lacks technology for productivity, and refining, we lack the capacity to control or regulate the prices
of our petroleum products, the main stay of the economy, in effect it has created vacuum for unnecessary tension and economic woes .
Speaking further, Tiemo said: ” The strait we find our selves if not well handled could result into a collosal damage of lives and properties, therefore we advice the protesters to suspend the ongoing protest and apply diplomacy in order to recommend Creative ideas to the federal government for effective implementation.”
He expressed the view that there is need for the federal government to create an office under the federal Ministry of information to interface with people or organizations with germane ideas recommended to the federal Ministry of information so that such ideas can be utilized and implemented for the good of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
Comrade Mike Tiemo as a matter of Urgency, recommended that the federal government should take a bold step to bring Modular Refineries manufacturers or dealers in order to massively increase our national refining capacity Which is also job and wealth creation.
He also called on the Federal Government to open up more Oil blocs for prospecting and exploration activities that will attract more foreign investors for sufficient crude oil provision.
In summation, Tiemo said: ” There should be constant consultation for positive recommendations and ideas that would move our nation forward instead protest that will create tension leading us no where, because democracy is for all citizens so we must promote it collectively.”
