According to these men, they never had the intentions of opposing the ongoing protest in the country but due to the serious hardship they were driven to accept the five thousand naira in order to protest against the nationwide protest.
One of the men claimed that some individuals came to their area with three vehicles to mobilize them to where they will protest against the ongoing protest in the country. He explained that he was only driven to join those against the protest mainly because he was offered the sum of five thousand naira.
While being interviewed, he said: “It is because of the five thousand naira they gave to us this morning that is the reason why we came out to say no protest.
