According to a statement from NASSLAF spokesperson Toyo Jimmy, the following security protocols will be enforced starting August 1, 2024:
1. **Restricted Access:** Entry to the NASS Complex will be limited to NASS staff, legislative aides, and essential service workers. Due to the heightened security, construction activities within NASS are paused, and site workers are barred from entering.
2. **Increased Security:** There will be a significant security presence around the NASS Complex.
3. **Identification Requirements:** Access to the NASS Complex will require presentation of an identification card. Aides with only a Letter of Appointment or Temporary ID Card will be denied entry.
4. **Visitor Restrictions:** Aides are advised not to bring visitors into the National Assembly. Members are encouraged to limit visitor numbers during the protest.
5. **Main Gate Access:** Entry to the National Assembly will be restricted to the main gate only.
6. **Cooperation with Security:** Aides should be courteous and cooperate with the Sergeant at Arms and security personnel during checks.
7. **Work Attendance:** Aides are not required to come to work during the first 10 days of the protest if they feel unsafe. NASSLAF and PASAN buses will not be operational until the situation stabilizes.
