And the Blues have constantly been linked with a move for the big man – but his asking price has become a problem for all the chasing clubs and that is why he has not yet left Brentford.

Toney is out of contract at the end of next season, while Igor Thiago, who may be his replacement, scored twice in their 5-2 friendly win at AFC Wimbledon this afternoon, And now Frank has admitted that the club could sell the big man.

He told Sky Sports News: “You never know! He’s a Brentford player and I would love him to stay. It would give me a very positive challenge.
