He stressed his deep commitment to the APC, rooted in his participation as one of the 22 NPDP senators instrumental in the party’s formation.
Ndume pointed out that his name appears as number 21 on the list of these founding senators, illustrating his significant historical contribution to the APC’s establishment.

stressed that his affiliation with the APC predated that of Abdullahi Ganduje, the current APC national chairman. He explained that his entry into the APC was the result of careful deliberation and consultation with his people, not a spur-of-the-moment decision.
