United have already agreed a deal to sign Yoro this summer from French club Lille. A deal worth €70million (£58.7million) has been agreed between United and Lille and now the player is expected to become the second new signing of the summer at Old Trafford.
It was confirmed last Sunday that Joshua Zirkzee had become the first signing of the summer for United. Now the Reds are moving closer to adding Yoro to Erik ten Hag’s squad, with the centre-back also expected to travel with his new United teammates to the United States for their upcoming pre-season schedule.
Henry has experience working alongside Yoro with his role as France Under-21 head coach. The Arsenal legend handed Yoro his debut for the Under-21s in September last year when the defender was 17 years old.
It was back in March that Henry explained why he had been so impressed by Yoro in the early stages of his career. The comments from the Arsenal legend will offer encouragement of what United will hope to enjoy from Yoro in the years to come once he completes a move to Old Trafford – and explain why the club have moved for him.
