JUST IN: Report of Cardoso Resignation gets Reaction from Presidency

Report that President Bola Tinubu directed the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso to resign, has drawn reaction from the presidency....READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶

An online medium had published that Tinubu ordered Cardoso to turn in his resignation letter for alleged abysmal performance and failing to arrest the dwindling fortune of naira against hard currencies allegedly contrary to the CBN governor’s promise before clinching the exalted job.

The report has elicited response from Bayo Onanuga, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

In a terse statement on Tuesday evening, Onanuga wrote: “It’s all lies. President Tinubu has not asked Yemi Cardoso to resign.”
