Sources said that Mr Ngige presented himself for interrogation on Wednesday night amidst allegations of misappropriating N48 billion during his tenure as minister.
He has not returned home since then and is believed to be in the anti-graft agency detention.
Though, details of the investigation are still emerging, but sources also confirmed that Ngige is cooperating with the ICPC.
