The statement described Governor Fubara’s leadership style as a testament to the principles of justice, transparency, and accountability, needed for the growth and development of any society.
‘The Congress extends its unwavering support to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, for his exemplary and steadfast commitment to upholding democratic values, safeguarding the will of the people, and standing as a beacon of hope and integrity in the face of attempts to undermine the sanctity of democracy in our beloved state” he states.
“Governor Fubara’s leadership has indeed been a testament to the principles of justice, transparency, and accountability, principles that are essential for the growth and development of any society” he adds.
The statement frowned at the comment made by Nyesom Wike, threatening to incite political turmoil in states governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) adding that it can destabilize the political harmony of the nation.
“We commend the PDP Governors Forum for their unflinching and resolute support for Governor Fubara in this struggle to uphold democracy and protect the sovereignty of the people’s mandate”
The statement called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive action by cautioning the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, against making statements and engaging in actions capable of escalating tensions and inciting violence across the nation.
“We call on all stakeholders, political leaders, and the general public to rally behind him and resist any attempts to subvert the will of the people”
The NDYC remained committed to advocating for good governance, the rule of law, and the protection of our democratic institutions.
