The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has clarified that former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is not in its custody, despite recent media reports suggesting otherwise. Oyewale stated, “Contrary to media reports, the former Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello, is not being held by the EFCC. He remains wanted, with an active warrant for his arrest.
