According to a statement signed by Osatohamhen Ebhohon, Publicity Secretary, AAC, Lagos, these members cut across the young and elderly and mostly victims of demolition carried out by the APC administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

Receiving the new members into the AAC were the Acting Ward Chairman in Oworonshoki Opeyemi Ogunlami; former Lagos AAC Secretary, Towolawi Jamiu; the Lagos AAC Woman Leader, Olaide Olurinde; Lagos AAC Publicity Secretary, Osatohamhen Ebhohon, and Lagos AAC Organising Secretary, Folayemi Akinfolarin, during a ceremony held in Oworonshoki on Sunday September 8, 2024.

The Acting Ward Chairman, Opeyemi Ogunlami, commended the new members for making the right decision.

He stressed: “We are in a period in which we must unite to fight the monstrous Tinubu APC that have hijacked Nigeria and turned our collective resources to their private properties.”

He also enlightened the new members about the ideology and manifesto of the party, which centred on systemic change; that is taking the collective resources back from the few ruling elites and putting them under the democratic ownership, management and control of the people (working class masses).

The new members also took the AAC oath of allegiance which is a fundamental principle in the AAC Constitution for new members.

The oath of allegiance process was led by the immediate- past secretary of Lagos AAC, Towolawi Jamiu, which the new members were asked to recite.

The process also included the distribution of the party’s membership cards to the new members.

Some of the new members, who spoke after the inauguration, included Harrison Cole, Peter Wilfred, Folasade Ogundipe and Fatimo Olasujo.

They were all excited for being new members of the AAC family because they believe that the AAC is the only alternative to the APC, PDP and their proxies, such as LP and others.
