Photos shared on social media also captured Mohbad’s family members, including his parents, Joseph and Abosede Aloba, arriving separately at the court to attend the resumed inquest proceedings. Since Mohbad’s sudden death on September 12, 2023, his family has been relentless in their pursuit of justice, raising concerns about how the case has been handled.

The public outcry intensified after Mohbad was buried the day after his death, with many Nigerians demanding a thorough investigation into the cause of his death. Following these demands, authorities exhumed his body on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

However, the results of the autopsy provided little clarity. The only significant finding was the presence of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, in Mohbad’s system, but the concentration was deemed insufficient to have caused his death. This lack of conclusive evidence has led to further frustration and confusion.

Mohbad’s family, unsatisfied with the outcome of the autopsy, has called for another examination. They believe the initial autopsy was inconclusive due to the decomposition of his body and have continued to push for a deeper investigation into the true cause of his passing.

As the fight for justice continues, supporters of the late singer remain hopeful that the truth will eventually come to light.
