In a swift reaction on Wednesday, the Niger Delta Youth Brigade spokesman, Binabi Zoukouma said Comrade Oshiomhole was only responding to the outburst of Mrs. Betsy Obaseki that the APC candidate has no wife.
According to him it has become customary for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to attack the family of the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress which has been condemned by the general public.
“The statement of Senator Oshiomhole was a reaction to Mrs. Obaseki and it is expected that he would respond when sacastic and unfounded remarks and personal life about his candidate which are not even true are made.
“Oshiomhole only reacted to what Mrs. Obaseki said about Senator Okpebholo during the PDP flag off of their governorship campaign that among the three major candidates contesting the election, it is only the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo that has a wife and as such, somebody without a wive cannot be a governor.
“Following the reaction of Oshiomhole people are complaining why he said that the Edo State governor and his wife have no children.
It should be noted that a bush that forbids bag should not grow mushrooms. It is becoming a routine for the PDP to always bring in personal and family issues in their campaigns.
In the 2020 elections, the PDP did the same thing by saying that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole wife from abroad had left him.
“Then, no body saw it as something that was wrong when they used it against Oshiomhole. this year again, they have come with this family issues against the candidate of the APC. If they can bring in family issues they should also be ready for any extent which anybody can go.
We are saying categorically, what Our leader, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has done is not wrong, people should stop condemning him and we are fully is support of his actions.
He was not mocking them but was only saying the obvious. It was when they talked about the personal life of his candidate that he reacted” they noted.
