The senator made this appeal on Tuesday, reacting to the massacre of approximately 80 local farmers in Mafa village by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

Expressing his profound grief, Senator Mustapha said, “I am shocked beyond words at the extent of the killing and destruction that occurred on Sunday in Mafa village of Tarmuwa Local Government. To say the least, it is unimaginable. Nothing whatsoever justifies this gruesome murder of innocent citizens.”

The lawmaker strongly condemned the attack, describing it as barbaric, inhumane, and an affront to humanity.

He further emphasized the need for the security forces to intensify efforts in tracking down the culprits to prevent such tragedies from reoccurring.

“I condemn in the strongest terms possible this barbaric act; it is despicable, callous, and an assault on humanity,” he said.

In addition to his condemnation, Senator Mustapha offered his prayers for the victims’ souls and extended his condolences to their grieving families, as well as to the government and people of Yobe State.

The recent attack has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation both within Yobe State and across the country, with many calling for increased security measures to protect vulnerable communities from the ongoing insurgency.
