Mikel Arteta may have some mixed feelings on just how this summer’s window has gone in north London.

But there has to be a feeling that Arsenal are going into the campaign light of options up top with Gabriel Jesus also having sustained an injury issue already.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto is now pencilled in for his medical in London this morning.

It may not be quite the end to this summer’s transfer window which Arsenal fans were hoping for but a backup goalkeeper is an essential position needing to be filled.
And a straight loan for the ‘unbelievable‘ Bournemouth man may well be viewed as a wiser decision than the others being touted.
Arsenal still eyeing late Joan Garcia move
However, Arsenal’s pursuit for the Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia is not over just yet as the clock ticks down.
It seems as if Neto is now just awaiting the nod to complete his medical with Jacobs also noting the possibility of a development with Garcia changing Arsenal’s plans.
With the need to add another attacker, Arsenal fans will surely feel the significant fee demanded by Espanyol could be spent better elsewhere today.
