Already, there are also palpable fears among the supporters of both parties as to the outcome of the case to be judged on Friday.

Recall that the Kogi Governorship election was held on November 11 last year, giving victory to Ahmed Usman Ododo, who defeated three other candidates, the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, who came second.

The election was greeted with alleged irregularities amidst calls for cancellations by some international observers.

Ododo, declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was later sworn in, pushing the battle to the court.

The case had been coming from the elections tribunal to Appeal now at the Supreme Court, where the fate of the governor and the SDP candidate, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, will be decided.

Currently, the atmosphere in Lokoja is electric with anticipation, and many residents are on edge, eagerly awaiting the final judgement.

As of the latest update, thousands of supporters from both the SDP and the ruling APC have made the significant move to Abuja, where they are now waiting with bated breath for tomorrow’s judgment.
