Ekpa expressed his reaction through an official statement on his X account on Thursday.
An article titled ‘The Next Administration Must Keep an Eye on Nigeria,’ published on Tuesday in an American Journal, emphasized the importance of the incoming US president backing the cause of Biafra Liberation.
Rubin expressed that due to the ongoing agitation for Biafra’s liberation, “Biafrans, it seems, want self-determination. Even if they do not declare independence, the Nigerian government’s failure to address ethnic persecution and anti-Christian discrimination cannot be ignored.”
In response, Ekpa praised Rubin for shedding light on the challenges faced by Biafrans and their quest for self-governance.
He confidently stated that the declaration of Biafra’s Independence is set for December 2, 2024.
“We appreciate Michael Rubin for bringing attention to the struggles of the Biafran people and the BRGIE self-referendum.
“It is indeed a privilege for us to be acknowledged by a person of your caliber and influence,” he remarked.
It should be noted that in July 2024, BRGIE reported that over 50 million Biafrans participated in the Biafra referendum.
