The governor made this appeal on Friday during a visit to the area, where a large crowd of residents warmly received him.

Addressing the people of Gudu, Governor Aliyu emphasized the importance of cooperation between the local communities and security agencies.

He urged the residents to share any information that could assist in the fight against banditry, stressing that the area’s security is a collective responsibility.

“Let me appeal to you, my people in Gudu,” the governor said. “Please, cooperate with us and provide the security agencies with the necessary information so that we can effectively tackle the banditry that is disturbing our communities.”

Governor Aliyu reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Sokoto State.

He assured the people that his government is dedicated to making the state a safer place for all its citizens.

In addition to his security pledges, the governor announced plans to renovate the Balle General Hospital, which has fallen into a state of disrepair.

“I have directed the immediate renovation of the Balle Health facility so that our people can continue to benefit from the services provided there,” he stated.

Furthermore, Governor Aliyu revealed that he has ordered the installation of 250 solar-powered streetlights throughout Gudu Local Government Area to enhance security and improve the quality of life in the region.

The governor also informed the community that the state government has awarded contracts for the renovation of the Tangaza to Gudu Road.

This project aims to improve access to several communities along the road, making travel easier and safer for residents.

In his remarks, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, a former governor of Sokoto State and the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, urged the people of Gudu to continue supporting the APC.

He emphasized that by doing so, they would continue to enjoy the benefits of good governance and the dividends of democracy.

Senator Wamakko also praised Governor Aliyu’s leadership, highlighting the positive transformation that has taken place under his administration.

Earlier in the event, the Sole Administrator of Gudu Local Government, Umar Mai-Kano Balle, expressed his gratitude to Governor Aliyu for the attention given to security concerns in the area.

He assured the governor of the community’s unwavering support and commitment to his administration’s efforts to improve security and development in Gudu.

“We, the people of Gudu, are deeply appreciative of the special attention you give to this area whenever we bring security issues to your attention,” Balle said.
