Governor Abba Yusuf visited the State High Court on Wednesday to assess the damage done to it during the August 1-10 protest and later said “hired miscreants” destroyed the place.
In a statement Yusuf’s spokesman Sanusi Tofa signed, the governor said, “It is very unfortunate that enemies of Kano State hired undesirable elements to vandalise one of the historic public buildings with a mission of averting corruption charges against the Ag. National Chairman of APC and former governor of the state Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his family and aides.”
The state earlier took Ganduje, his wife Hafsat, Umar; his son, Umar Abdullahi, and five others to the court over misappropriation and diversion of funds during his tenure as governor. The accused are facing eight charges….READ FULL ARTICLE
