The #EndBadGovernance protest began on Thursday and is scheduled to last for ten days.
Demonstrators have started converging at the Gani Fawehinmi Park, shortly after the President’s address to the nation on Sunday.
They expressed dissatisfaction with the speech, stating that he failed to address their core demands.
The protesters are calling for the restoration of petrol subsidy and measures to address food shortages, unemployment, and wasteful spending. They also demand a reduction in the President’s cabinet and cost of governance, as well as reforms of the electoral umpire INEC and anti-graft agency EFCC.
