According to Ajapareporter.com, they seek to overturn a Federal High Court ruling that dismissed their case concerning the revocation of a property in Abuja previously owned by Late General Sani Abacha.

The property in question, located in Maitama District, Abuja, was allegedly revoked by the government and subsequently sold to Salamed Ventures Limited without the Abacha family’s consent.

The appeal challenges the decision of Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, who dismissed their initial suit on May 19, 2024, citing jurisdictional issues. The appellants argue that Justice Lifu erred in his interpretation of jurisdictional matters under the Land Use Act and in dismissing their claims of unlawful revocation and lack of compensation.

They contend that they have standing to sue on behalf of the late General Abacha’s estate and assert that the revocation violated constitutional and statutory provisions.
