In a video shared on social media, Regina Daniels passionately supported the creation of the Anioma state, highlighting the historical struggles and victories of the Anioma people.
She urged everyone to back her husband’s bill, emphasising that the time has come to make the creation of Anioma State a reality.
In her native language, she stated: “I want to talk about the Anioma people.”
Switching to English, Regina elaborated: “Anioma is indeed an endowed culture, it possesses the classical characteristics of oneness, a shared history, robust culture, language, traditions, and features that set us apart from other local governments in Delta State yet, uniquely connects us to the south-eastern state.
“As a true daughter of Anioma, I am immensely proud of the recently sponsored bill for the creation of Anioma State by my beloved husband and our distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.”
The actress emphasised the significance of the bill, stating, “I believe the passage of this bill will heed the clarion call for the creation of the sixth state in the south-east, addressing a long-standing injustice.”
She added: “I lend my voice to support the Recently sponsored bill by my husband and our distinguished Senator for the creation of Anioma State. The creation of Anioma state is long overdue.
