Dr. Nwanosike alleged that a businessman, who is responsible for handling all the contracts in the local government through his company, MCC, is striving to perpetuate his leadership. “A businessman who is responsible for doing all the contracts in our local government that owns the company MCC decides to say he wants to perpetuate his leadership,” Nwanosike stated. He further mentioned that this individual, leveraging his past role as a Senator representing Obio-Akpor, claims to be the leader of the Ikwerre ethnic nationality and alleges to have the governor’s mandate to organize the Ikwerre people and market women.
“He is now the leader of Ikwerre ethnic nationality and that the governor has given him the mandate to organize Ikwerre people, market women. The man is free,” Nwanosike added, emphasizing the self-appointed nature of the businessman’s leadership.
