The former president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) had married Osayamon Ogbebor in 2022. However, the marriage only lasted for a few weeks as there were unconfirmed reports of its turning toxic. Mr. Olumide Akpata married Osayamon Ogbebor at his fifty years after a long-term relationship between the duo.
The controversies that characterized the marriage and would herald its eventual end among other things, is allegation of infidelity by Olumide Akpata. According to speculations then, there were efforts from high and low personalities to save the marriage from crash but Olumide Akpata’s unbending disinterestedness and lack of remorse for his alleged infidelity, would make peace impossible.
Consequently, his ex-wife, Osayamon Ogbebor who at that point felt being victimized, perceived the union as toxic and decided to leave.
