Speaking with our Correspondent on telephone on Thursday, the ICPC spokesperson, Demola Bakare said the former Labour minister was only invited for questioning over certain activities in his ministry during his tenure.
Bakare noted that Ngige was allowed to leave after the interrogation but told to report back at a specified date for further interrogation.
He insisted that at no time was the former Labour minister arrested by the agency and urged the general public to ignore social media insinuation that he was arrested.
Bakare also advised journalists to always verify their information before going to press to avoid heating up the polity.
