Ori brings a wealth of experience to the role, having built a distinguished career in journalism over nearly a decade.
Ori’s previous roles include working with The Sun newspapers, where he held several editorial positions including assistant editor for sports, education, and investigations/features.
He also served as the South-East bureau chief for Hallmark newspaper. In 2021, Ori joined News Echo newspaper as Managing Editor, and later co-founded Oriental Newspaper, a weekly publication based in Owerri, Imo State.
Recently, Ihedioha left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after over twenty years and is expected to align with the Labour Party (LP).
While he has not officially joined any party yet, consultations with LP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and the party’s governor in Abia State, Alex Otti, suggest a forthcoming affiliation. Ihedioha’s campaign group, Rebuild Imo Movement, has also indicated its readiness to join the Labour Party.
