He expressed devastation and outrage over Goldberg-Polin’s death, which was announced by IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari after Hamas terrorists murdered him and five other hostages.
Goldberg-Polin’s body was found in the tunnels under Rafah, along with the bodies of the other hostages, following their killing by Hamas.
His family and friends had tirelessly campaigned for his release and met with world leaders, including officials from the Biden administration.

declared that Hamas leaders will face consequences for their actions and that his administration will continue working tirelessly to secure the release of the remaining hostages.
“It is as tragic as it is reprehensible,” Biden said.
“Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes. And we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages.”
Vice President Kamala Harris said her prayers are with Goldberg-Polin’s loved ones as they mourn his loss.
Kamala said that Hamas is an evil terrorist organization.
