The 33-year will live in Madrid again but will play for Rayo Vallecano rather than Real, the club he left in 2020.
“Rayo Vallecano de Madrid and James Rodríguez have reached an agreement whereby the midfielder joins our team”, the club statement reads.

Speaking after signing his contract, James Rodriguez said : “I’m very excited to be able to play a match here and be able to show that I want to win.”
James who proved that he is still a top player by leading Colombia to Copa America final this summer and was named MVP of the tournament, could make his Rayo Vallecano debut on Tuesday night against FC Barcelona.
