This facility aims to provide top-tier medical care to the local community, marking a significant milestone for both the association and the people of Gombe.
Speaking at a free medical outreach program held at the hospital, Malam Muhammad Nasir Ishaq, the Amir (Chairman) of IMAN, expressed the importance of the new medical center.
“Our mission is to support the needy by providing essential medical services. Having our own hospital allows us to reach people when they need us most,” Ishaq said.
He acknowledged that while the hospital is not yet fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, it already boasts a team of skilled medical professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional care. The association is actively working to upgrade the hospital to the standards of a specialist hospital.
The hospital’s opening was celebrated with a free medical outreach program, targeting over 1,000 patients. Dr. Danimoh Mustapha Abdulsalam, chairman of the IMAN Outreach Committee, revealed that this initiative was designed to commemorate the hospital’s public commissioning.
“The program aims to reach underserved populations in Gombe, especially the needy, and provide them with much-needed medical attention and support,” Abdulsalam stated.
He added that the outreach is part of IMAN’s broader commitment to the community, offering not just routine medical services but also identifying patients in need of surgical and other specialised interventions, which will be scheduled for a later date.
