Nyesom Wike is still a devoted member of the Peoples Democratic Party, according to Segun Sowunmi, even if he is currently serving as the FCT Minister in the APC Government. He clarified that while Nyesom Wike hasn’t been sighted at any APC meetings, he was recently spotted at a meeting with the Peoples Democratic Party, demonstrating his allegiance and commitment to the group.

When the issue in Rivers State was raised, Segun Sowunmi claimed that Nyesom Wike could not say that he wasn’t going to produce the resources for Governor Siminalayi Fubara to succeed in office despite their disagreement on some issues. According to him, the PDP just loaned Nyesom Wike to the APC and they will be able to get him back at the due time.

In an interview with Channels Television today, he said: “Many people said why did Nyesom Wike come for the PDP meetings, the answer is very simple and straightforward. His Excellency Governor Nyesom Wike has made it abundantly clear that he is serving in the APC Government as the Minister Of FCT and that he is a member of the PDP. There might be a duplication there because we have our suspicion that he is loyal to us or he is loyal to them, how else should he prove his loyalty?
