Senior Hamas Official Say ‘Israel’s Rescue Of 4 Hostages After 9 Months A ‘Sign Of Failure’


According to Reuters, The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) successfully rescued four Israeli hostages from Gaza, marking the third time security forces have managed to rescue hostages alive in the Gaza Strip.

However, the achievement was met with criticism from a senior Hamas official, who deemed it a “sign of failure” rather than an achievement.

Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior Hamas official, spoke to Reuters, stating, “Regaining four captives after nine months of fighting is a sign of failure not an achievement.” His comments reflect the escalating tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinian Hamas militants in Gaza.

The four Israeli hostages, identified as Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, were abducted by Hamas militants during the Nova music festival on October 7. The hostages were rescued from two separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat, central Gaza, in a daring operation under heavy fire.
