Sam Amadi Reacts To Claims That If Nigeria Reverts To Regional Gov’t, Southwest Will Be At Advantage


Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, responded to a claim made on Twitter that the South West would benefit if Nigeria went back to a regional form of administration today.

The Twitter user stated in a post on his profile that the North East and North Central will be the most disadvantaged, while the South West will have an edge.

On his page, he wrote, “If Nigeria reverts to a regional system of government today, the SW will automatically be at an advantage, with Lagos and Ogun State leading.”

“From IGR to infrastructure development and attracting investments to their economy, the NE/NC will be the most disadvantaged.”

Sam Amadi responded to the Twitter user’s comment by saying that is not how things operate. He claimed that IGR is not progress.
