He stated, “The PDP is the originator of our contemporary democracy and is committed to ensuring that democracy not only endures in Nigeria but also flourishes.”
“As one of the founding fathers of our esteemed party, the PDP, I take immense pride in having been part of the journey to nurture the party from its inception to becoming a deliberate force for socio-political and economic development in Nigeria.”
“During the 16 years that the PDP held the reins of power in our nation, the party provided quality leadership through various administrations, and the accomplishments achieved during those 16 years continue to serve as a standard for positive progress in our economy and other vital aspects of our national life.”
“Indeed, the PDP played a pivotal role in dismantling military rule in Nigeria, and the unique circumstances of our contemporary experiences, both within Nigeria and other African nations, necessitate that the PDP once again rises to the occasion to address the economic challenges and other structural deficiencies that have adversely affected our citizens over the past nearly eight and a half years.”
