He was later brought before the disciplinary committee.

At the party’s most recent Special Delegates Conference, Kennedy Agyapong claimed that party officials who supported Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia beat him twice.

Charles Addo, the party’s youth organizer in the Bono East Region, claims that two enraged party officials assaulted him as a result of his attempt to ensure adherence to electoral standards.

“I informed the regional police commander and some of his men that two regional party officers were attempting to represent the vice president in violation of the game’s rules.” The police commander then validated my viewpoint and summoned the EC official and regional organizer, one Sulley, outside to explain.

“It was left to Liman Seidu, the deputy secretary, who was resisting.” As a result, the police coerced him out, and when he emerged, he engaged them in conversation while asking who the complainant was.

Around 8:30 a.m., when the election had not yet begun, a police officer informed me that their colleague, the regional executive, was the complainant. So he inquired if it was true, and the next thing he said was, “Do I know that the ejected organizer is my boss in accordance with party structures?” “I responded that we are not here to do boss work; we are here to monitor the system to ensure order,” Mr. Addo, who was wearing a neck brace after allegedly being beaten, explained.

He said that two party officials jumped on him and severely beat him, following which a sum of GH40,000 was seized from his pocket.

“I wasn’t paying attention because I was on the phone, and the next thing I saw was them hitting me.” Take a peek at my phone… “I had $40,000 in my pocket, and they took it from me,” he explained.

During the party’s Special Delegates Congress on Saturday, August 26, 2023, Kennedy Agyapong threatened President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia verbally.

Agyapong’s outburst, which was filmed while he was on the phone, was claimed to have been sparked by a situational report on the state of his agent, who was representing him in the North East Region during the election.

Kennedy Agyapong said in an immediate statement following Saturday’s election that he was proud and motivated by the support in his camp during the “heat of backbiting, intimidation, and smearing” he endured, and that he hopes to win the party’s general delegates election on November 4, 2023….CONTINUE READING
