A 10-year-old Texas girl stopped an assault on her mom on Wednesday when she stabbed the suspect in the leg.

“Awful situation for a 10-year-old little girl to witness and experience,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. “Children who witness the abuse of their mothers, fathers, or other family members are impacted.”
It wasn’t clear if the child was injured in the incident, or what injuries the mother suffered.
